District 12 - Princeton area

CO Mike Krauel (Mora) worked a busy week checking anglers and boat and water activity. Krauel also attended K9 unit training. Krauel also worked boat and water safety on Lake Minnetonka.

CO Ryan Hanna (Milaca) spoke with multiple people about water safety over the holiday weekend. Boaters needed reminders about proper personal watercraft use, time restrictions, life jacket requirements on juveniles, and how many to have on the boat. ATV users were also reminded about stop signs and alcohol use while recreating.

CO Blong Lor (Center City) spent the week checking anglers. He also checked recreational boaters. Time was also spent responding to nuisance-animal calls.

CO Koleby Dingmann (Sauk Rapids) spent the week working sport fishing and boating activity. Violations encountered were fishing without a license and bass catch-and-release violations. Assistance was given to local law enforcement agencies. Activity day at Tech High school was attended with other local agencies.

CO Trent Seamans (Big Lake) patrolled for anglers and boaters. Additional time was spent assisting at the CO Academy and handling miscellaneous wildlife-related complaints. Enforcement action for the week included fishing with extra lines, fishing without a license, and operating a watercraft with expired registration.

CO Justin Frisch (Cambridge) followed up on a complaint received by a concerned person of a turkey hunter shooting from the road near a residence. Frisch was able to contact the hunter regarding the complaint and several violations were identified. Citations were issued for an overlimit, hunting in a closed season, and transporting a loaded firearm. Several warnings were also given. Frisch also spent time on the water checking anglers and enforcing boating laws.
