Celebrating 100 Years of Forestry in Minnesota Poster

This poster (22 x 22 in.) recognizes the 100th anniversary of the DNR Division of Forestry. The front of the poster is a collage of past and present images that illustrate the division's dedication to protecting, managing, and educating about Minnesota's forest resources. The back of the poster is a pictorial timeline showcasing major accomplishments that have shaped the Division of Forestry's path.

Educational ideas for using Celebrating 100 Years of Forestry in Minnesota poster information:

  • Use the front and back of the poster to create a bulletin board.

  • Discuss how forestry practices in the past are similar and different than today's practices.

  • Have students develop additional Division of Forestry accomplishments to the pictorial timeline on the back of the poster.

  • Have students develop their own collage of past and present forestry practices.

  • Discuss how the focus of Arbor Day in the past is similar or different than today.
