"11th Annual Take A Kid Trout Fishing Day"

Saturday, June 6th, 2009

At Whitewater State Park

For Youth Ages 5-15

Sign up as one adult per youth. Volunteer fishing guides will take out small groups and assist with tips and techniques for trout fishing. Adults do not need a fishing license to participate. Bring your own fishing pole or you can use one of ours.

Bait is generously provided by the Elba Valley Express in downtown Elba.

Space is limited! All participants must pre-register by calling Whitewater State Park at 507-932-3007 Extension 221.

8:00-8:30 Check in at the parking lot by the Interpretive Center, parking permits will be available.

8:30-12:00 Guided Trout Fishing in and around Whitewater Park

12:00-1:30 Lunch (provided) and educational displays

"Winter Trout Fishing Seminar" 

Date is Saturday, JAN 9th, 2010.

Time is 1:00PM - 3:00PM.

The seminar is held at Whitewater State Park. Pre-registration is required. Pre-register by calling Whitewater State Park at 507-932-3007 Extension 221.

This seminar is an indoor presentation/discussion on the information you may need to know about water, fish, habitat, tackle and safety if you are going to try to catch trout during the winter season in Southeast Minnesota. Presenters include (Win-Cres Chapter of) Trout Unlimited volunteers and DNR Southeast trout stream management staff.
