Youth and seniors get priority
A special restricted-access waterfowl hunt is available on Tuesdays and Saturdays from Sept. 23-Oct. 28 in a portion of the Carlos Avery Wildlife Management Area.
Two areas, both part of the WMA's pool 2 portion of the sanctuary, will be available on designated mornings.
Applications will be accepted for groups of up to four with preference given to groups with at least one youth hunter (age 17 and younger) or one senior hunter (age 65 and older).
Drawings for hunt areas will be conducted two weeks prior to each week of hunting.
