NWI Project organization and contacts

Organization

The update of the National Wetland Inventory for Minnesota is a collaborative effort involving federal, state, and local agencies and organizations. The Ecological and Water Resources Division of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is responsible for coordinating this effort. Other key groups include: various end-users of these maps (stakeholders), the University of Minnesota Remote Sensing and Geospatial Analysis Laboratory, Ducks Unlimited (east-central and northeast region contractor), St. Mary's University (southern region contractor), the DNR Resource Assessment Office, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, a technical advisory committee, and the DNR Enterprise Hydrography Team.
