Where to go: Park your vehicle at the public water access site on the south west side of Greenleaf Lake. Abundant parking is available for those using the fishing pier, boat ramp or hiking trails.
What you'll see: See where the prairie, forest and agriculture all meet. These three distinctly different cover types have helped create the unique environment where Greenleaf State Recreation Area is located.
Also of interest: Greenleaf is open for Archery deer hunting. An archery deer license is all that is required. Season dates are September 14 thru December 31.
Last updated: October 2, 2013Can’t decide between a one-day or year-round park permit? The DNR has a special offer that can help. Start by purchasing a one-day permit for $5 and visit as many state parks as possible. After visiting the state parks, trade in the one-day permit by the end of that day and get $5 off the purchase of a year-round permit. Year-round permits, which cost $25, provide unlimited access to all 76 Minnesota state parks and recreation areas for a full year from the month of purchase.
