DNR & FWS: Partners in ecological sustainability

Minnesota's outdoors is blessed with diversity. Wolves and songbirds inhabit our forests. An impressive assortment of fish and mussels populate our lakes and rivers. Butterflies and reptiles make our prairies their home.

Minnesota DNR receives funding from multiple U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service (FWS) programs to conserve and manage fish and wildlife and their habitats for the use and enjoyment of current and future generations.

Healthy, diverse fish and wildlife populations offer recreational opportunities, spur economic activity and improve our quality of life while contributing to the long-term sustainability of Minnesota's ecological systems.
