Trout lake fishing regulations
A Trout and Salmon Stamp is needed to fish in designated trout streams, designated trout lakes, and Lake Superior, and whenever you are in possession of trout or salmon.

Stream Trout Lakes |
Fishing Opener (mid-May) to October 31 |
Lake outside or partly outside the Boundary Waters Canoe Area: mid-January to March 31. Lakes entirely within the BWCA: mid-January to March 31. Lakes in Becker, Beltrami, Cass, Crow Wing and Hubbard (except for Blue Lake) counties are closed during winter months. Does not include lake trout. |

Bag Limits
Stream trout: 5 combined with no more than 3 over 16 inches
Lake trout: 2 for inland waters and 3 for Lake Superior
