Description:

Oxbow Park is over 620 acres and offers 4 picnic areas, 6 picnic shelters, playground facilities, 8 miles of developed trails, campground area, group campsite and Zollman Zoo. The zoo houses over 30 native Minnesota animal species and provides education programs. Nine grants were awarded to Olmsted County to help acquire and develop this park. A Regional Park Grant was used to redevelop the campground area to provide accessible restrooms and showers and accessible campsites. Eight Outdoor Recreation Grants were used to acquire 365 acres and develop picnic facilities, campground, playgrounds, restrooms, trails, nature center, roads, parking and landscaping.
