Pomme de Terre Retional Park

Description:

This 363-acre regional park was once a state park. It provides picnicking, camping, sports fields, and hiking and biking trails along the Pomme de Terrre River. Since 1981, the City of Morris has received four grants to develop facilities at this park, most recently a Regional Park grant to develop a new 1.3 mi. trail along the east side the river to complete a multi-use trail network around the park with a connection to the City of Morris and the University of Minnesota, Morris campus. A new aquatic playground is scheduled to open in the summer of 2007.
