Description:

Benton County acquired 289 acres of natural open space with 3,300 feet of undeveloped shoreline along the Mississippi River in Benton County located 1.4 miles south of Rice in November 2003. The County has developed a regional park master plan that includes year-round trails, educational opportunities, picnicking and more. Two grants were awarded to Benton County to acquire this park: a Regional Park Grant was used to acquire 235 acres and a Natural and Scenic Area Acquisition Grant was used to acquire the remaining 54 acres.

Location:

- 14 miles north of St. Cloud. From Jct Highways 10 & 23 in St. Cloud, go west on US 10 for 12 miles. Turn left (west) on 105th St NW. Go 0.8 miles and turn right (north) on County Rd. 55. Go 1 mile and watch for park entrance on left at 11231 River Road NE.
