City of Redwood Falls – Alexander Ramsey Park Description: Alexander


Alexander Ramsey Park was built as a State Park in 1911 and was transferred back to City of Redwood Falls years later. The park is 217 acres and offers picnic areas and shelters, trails, restrooms, Ramsey Falls overlook, playgrounds, campground and zoo. Six grants were awarded to the city to help acquire and develop this park. The Regional Park Grant was used renovate the campground by adding additional campsites, an accessible restroom and shower facility and renovations to the existing restroom facility. Five Outdoor Recreation Grants were used to acquire 12 acres and develop the campground, picnic facilities, trails, overlook, parking and roads.
