Section Eight gets a fair amount of fishing pressure because of its close proximity to the road and reasonably easy access. There was evidence that a fair amount of fishing is done from shore along the bog on the north side of the lake. In the 2009 assessment, brook trout lengths ranged from 10.7 to 14.1 inches with an overall average length of 11.8 inches. Section Eight Lake occasionally winter kills, but is annually stocked with yearling brook trout so anglers can expect to catch some nice sized fish each year
