Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Safety Training

Safety training is recommended for everyone who operates an OHV.

 

All-Terrain Vehicles (ATVs)

ATV safety training is required for ATV riders born after July 1, 1987. Riders aged 16 and older must complete the ATV safety training CD to receive an ATV safety certificate. Riders aged 12 to 15 may receive an ATV safety certificate only after successfully completing BOTH the ATV safety training CD and an in-person ATV safety training class. The ATV safety training CD is available free of charge. There is a $10.00 free to process the ATV safety certificate. The safety training class is $10.00.

Off-Highway Motorcycles (OHMs)

Riders under the age of 16 must complete an OHM safety training CD course that covers operating procedures, laws, safety hazards and environmental considerations. The CD is available for free. There is a $5.00 fee to process the OHM safety certificate.

Off-Road Vehicles (ORVs)

An ORV safety training CD course is available for all riders aged 16 or older. The course covers operation procedures, laws, safety hazards and environmental considerations. The CD is available for free. There is a $15.00 fee to process the ORV safety certificate.

Safety Instructor

As a volunteer ATV Safety Instrucutor you can use your knowledge and experience to teach people to ride ATVs safetly.
