Open year-round, the 3-mile Genoa Trail in northeast Minnesota begins near Eveleth and ends at the Sherwood Forest Campground in Gilbert. From the campground, riders have access to a trail into the Iron Range Off-Highway Vehicle Recreation Area. The trail parallels the non-motorized Mesabi Trail and is separated by a fence. A combination of level stretches, hills and corners, this trail offers a quick, smooth ride. The trail was built and is maintained through the efforts of the Evleth-Gilbert Joint Powers Trail Board.
