Parks & Recreation Division

Develops and manages a system of 66 state parks, six state recreation areas, and eight waysides that contain examples of Minnesota's most scenic lands.

Mission:

• preserve natural and cultural resources;
• educate visitors through interpretation;
• provide recreational opportunities without impairment to park resources for today's visitors and future generations.
