Project Learning Tree (PLT)
Activity Guides
PLT activities are:
- hands-on.
- appropriate for indoor and outdoor learning.
- designed for formal and nonformal educators of children in grades PreK–12.
- integrated into the sciences, mathematics, art, social studies, language arts, and music.
All activities focus on teaching students how to think, not what to think.
As you may be aware, Project Learning Tree (PLT) in Minnesota has been cut back because the Division of Forestry experienced some major budget reductions. PLT will exist, but minimally, through June 30, 2013. The Department of Natural Resources is evaluating its role in how we handle forestry education. If you want to share your thoughts or have questions about how this impacts you, feel free to contact me, Laura Duffey or 651-259-5263. |
