Curriculum & activity guide
The two activity guides, Project WILD and Aquatic WILD, offer teachers a wide variety of indoor and outdoor activities for grades K-12. They are easy to use and no special background knowledge or equipment is needed. Teachers really appreciate the guide's cross-referencing index of activities by grade level, subject area, skill, setting and topic. The objectives, methods, background information, step-by-step instructions, and ideas for expanding the lesson are stated in each activity. Each guide also includes: ways to evaluate student learning, a glossary, resource list, bibliography and topic index. The Aquatic Guide defines wildlife as any non-domesticated animal with the qualifier: that depends upon aquatic environments for its survival. The Aquatic Guide includes activities for freshwater and saltwater environments. The interdisciplinary nature of the activities allows them to be easily integrated with existing curriculum.
