Seasonal Update

Water: Water will be turned off for the winter season on Sunday, September 21st.

Drinking Water: Drinking water will be turned off for the winter season on Sunday, September 21st.

Bathroom Facilities: Flush toilets will be turned off for the winter season on Sunday, September 21st. Vault toilets are available in the park year-round.

Showers: The shower building will be closed for the winter season on Sunday, September 21st.

Dump Station: The dump station will be turned off for the winter season on Sunday, September 21st.

 

Campgrounds: Park has 44 drive-in campsites; 2 sites are wheelchair accessible. In 2013, camping will be available through October 20th.

Electric Sites: Park has 35 electric sites.

Special Notes for RV Campers: There are 44 gravel sites in the park.

Reservations: All campsites at Buffalo River State Park are reservable. We encourage you to reserve your campsite in advance. Any site not reserved is available for drop in camping for one night only. Use self-registration if park staff is unavailable. If additional nights are desired, check with park staff for availability Reservations recommended on weekends Memorial Day through Labor Day;

Fall: Daily, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

 

Trail Notes: Park has 12 miles of hiking trail. In winter, the park maintains 6 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails, 6 miles of winter hiking trail and one mile of snowshoe trail. Snowshoeing is permitted anywhere in the park except on groomed ski trails.The park has winter trail shelters that are heated on weekends.

Season Rentals: The picnic shelter is available for rent - $50/day tax included. Call the park to reserve. Six pairs of snowshoes are also available for rent at $6 per pair, per day.
