Geocaching rules to remember

Keep geocaching fun and safe by following these common-sense rules and ethics. 

When seeking geocaches make sure that you:

  • Tread lightly on the land—minimize impact on the environment.  Caches were placed above the ground in relatively well-traveled areas.
  • Never remove or relocate a cache.  Leave the cache for others to find exactly how you found it.
  • Do not endanger yourself or others.
  • Observe all laws and rules of the park.
  • Respect property rights.
  • Avoid causing disruptions.
  • Be considerate of others.
