Minnesota State Parks Geocaching Wildlife Safari
The safari adventure begins with the search for 72 hidden Critter Caches, one at each Minnesota State Park. You'll have a different adventure in every park, and each has something different hidden.
Once you find the hidden cache, collect the Critter Cards. The more critters you collect, the more rewards you can earn! When you've found ten critters, take your cards to any Minnesota State Park office and you'll receive a collectable Reward Card. By collecting ten, twenty, forty and sixty different Critter Cards, you can earn the chance to purchase four different rewards!
A special award awaits our true Wildlife Safari adventurers who can collect all the Critter Cards from all the Minnesota State Parks. (And never fear - the Geocaching Wildlife Safari runs through 2011, so you have lots of time to complete the challenge!)
Wild Card Alert!
Keep on the watch for the American Toad, the 2010 Wild Card. We've hidden 300 Wild Cards at random Critter Caches around the state. If you're lucky enough to find one, stop by the park office to receive a free Wildlife Safari Patch. The American Toad will randomly appear throughout the year, so keep your eyes open for her!
