Seasonal Update

Water: Water is off for the season.

Drinking Water: Available at the Jacob Brower Visitor Center year round from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm.

Bathroom Facilities: Flush toilets are available year-round in the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center. Facilities are wheelchair accessible. Vault toilets in the park are available year-round.

Showers: Shower buildings are closed for the season.

Dump Station: Bear Paw dump station is closed for the season.


Campgrounds: Winter camping is available in Pine Ridge campground and the backpack sites. The park has 231 drive-in campsites, 11 remote backpack sites and 11 cart-in sites available in the spring, summer and fall. From October - April no reservations are need for campsites and are available on a first come first serve basis. Check in at the Visitor Center.

Electric Sites: Park has 157 electric sites.

Reservations: Reservations are recommended for the summer season, especially for weekends and holidays.

Memorial Weekend thru first Saturday in October: Daily, 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. Beginning first Sunday in October thru Thursday before Memorial Weekend: Daily 9 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.


Trail Notes: The park has nearly 50 miles of hiking trail, 16 miles of surfaced bike trails and 1.5 miles of wheelchair accessible trail. In winter, the park has 31 miles of cross-country ski and snowmobile trails. Snowshoeing is permitted anywhere in the park except on groomed ski trails. The park maintains 3 miles of designated trail for snowshoeing. Heated trail shelter is available at the Jacob V. Brower Visitor Center.
