Seasonal Update

Water: Most faucets in the campground are off for the season. The campground bathroom and shower building and dump station are closed for the season. Two frost free hydrants are available year-round in the campground and one is available between the office and River Inn.

Drinking Water: Two frost free hydrants are available year-round in the campground and one is available between the office and River Inn. Drinking water turns on throughout the campground May 6, 2016, assuming warm weather.

Bathroom Facilities: The campground bathroom and shower building is closed for the season and will reopen May 6, 2016, assuming warm weather. Outhouses are available throughout the campground.

Showers: The campground shower building is closed for the season and will reopen May 6, 2016, assuming warm weather.

Dump Station: Dump station is closed until May 6, 2016, assuming warm weather.

 

Campgrounds: Camping is available year-round. The park has 82 campsites, including electric sites. In winter the park has 12 sites (including 6 electric sites) that are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Electric Sites: During the regular camping season the park has 21 electric sites available. In winter, six electric sites are available.

Special Notes for RV Campers: Some sites will not accommodate large units.

Reservations: Recommended for weekends, holidays and electric sites.

 

Contact Notes: For late fall and early winter, the park office will generally be open 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be times the park office may be closed if staff are unavailable.

 

Trail Notes: 45 miles of trails are open. Check with the park office for up-to-date information.

Season Rentals: Snowshoe rental is available during the winter season.

Naturalist Programs and Park Tours: Programs offered year-round on a regular basis from Memorial Day through Labor Day and monthly during the off-season. Check the "event calendar" for a list of current programs.
