Seasonal Update

Water: Showers and flush toilets in the campground are closed for the season. Drinking water is normally available in the campground year-round but is off temporarily due to frozen lines.

Drinking Water: Drinking water is normally available year-round, but is off temporarily due to frozen lines, at the main office and in the campground.

Bathroom Facilities: Flush toilets in the campground are closed for the season. Flush toilets are available in the Park Headquarters or River Inn Interpretive Center during open hours.

Showers: Showers are currently closed for the season.

Dump Station: Dump station is closed for the season.

 

Campgrounds: Camping is available year-round. The park has 82 campsites, including electric sites. In winter the park has 12 sites (including 6 electric sites) that are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Electric Sites: During the regular camping season the park has 21 electric sites available. In winter, six electric sites are available.

Special Notes for RV Campers: Some sites will not accommodate large units.

Reservations: Recommended for weekends, holidays and electric sites.

Season Rentals: Snowshoe rental is available during the winter season.

Naturalist Programs and Park Tours: Programs offered year-round on a regular basis from Memorial Day through Labor Day and monthly during the off-season. Check the "event calendar" for a list of current programs.

Schools & Community Groups: Contact Park Naturalist at 218-384-4610 to pre-arrange a guided field trip to the park.
