Seasonal Update

Water: Water is off for the season. We expect to have water on by Memorial weekend at Monson Lake.

Drinking Water: Drinking water is off for the season. The target for water on is Memorial weekend. Campers and day visitors should be prepared to bring drinking water from home, or purchase bottled water on the way to the park prior to Memorial weekend 2013.

Bathroom Facilities: The modern restrooms are closed for the season. We will work to open the modern restroom and showers for the Memorial Day weekend.

Showers: Showers are closed for the season. Target date is Memorial weekend.

Dump Station: The park does not have a dump station.

Campgrounds: In 2013, camping will be available from the first weekend of May 3 through Labor Day weekend. All campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis; no reservations are taken for this park.

Electric Sites: Six electric sites, each with 20, 30 and 50 amp circuits, are available during the camping season.

Special Notes for RV Campers: Electric hookups have been added to six campsites.

Reservations: Reservations are not taken at Monson Lake State Park, it is all first-come, first-served. Camping is done entirely by self registration on site.

Trail Notes: The park's hiking trails are open for use.

Naturalist Programs and Park Tours: Park visitors are encouraged to visit the Interpretive Center at Sibley State Park.
