Seasonal Update

Water: Water is off for the season. We expect to have water off until May 6 2016 at Monson Lake.

Drinking Water: Drinking water is off for the season. There are two spigots in the campground and one near the picnic shelter, both areas are turned off.

Bathroom Facilities: Two vault toilets are open for visitor use, but (due to limited staffing) may need toilet paper & do not have running water. The modern restrooms are closed for the season. We will open restroom and shower facilities next May for the start of the 2016 camping season.

Showers: Showers are closed for the season.

Dump Station: The park does not have a dump station.


Campgrounds: In 2015, camping will be available from the first weekend of May through October. All campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis; no reservations are taken for this park.

Electric Sites: Six electric sites, each with 20, 30 and 50 amp circuits, are available during the camping season.

Special Notes for RV Campers: Electric hookups have been added to six campsites.

Reservations: Reservations are not taken at Monson Lake State Park, it is all first-come, first-served. Camping is done entirely by self registration on site.

Trail Notes: The park's hiking trails are open for use.

Naturalist Programs and Park Tours: Park visitors are encouraged to visit the Interpretive Center at Sibley State Park during the summer season.
