Park Office

End of Entrance Road

Open Monday through Friday, Memorial Day through Labor Day. Office is open on a more limited schedule the rest of year.

Visitor Center

Center includes Nature Store, interpretive exhibits, and tour center. Includes accessible restrooms.

Interpretive Exhibit

Visitor Center

Exhibits focus on the mine and mining culture, natural history and physics. Other exhibits are located on the park grounds and in mine buildings.

Naturalist Programs

Tours of the mine

Interpretive programs, such as bat programs, hikes, and mine tours are led by professional interpreters.

Surface tours of the mine

Surface tours of this former iron ore mine are led by professional interpreters. Tours of the underground mine are expected to resume in the future. Please call the park for more information.

Geocaching Wildlife Safari Demo Park

Bring your own GPS unit or use one of the park's hand-held units for free. As time permits, park staff will be available to give you helpful tips and geocaching information.
