Drinking Water: Available in visitor center.

Bathroom Facilities: Flush toilets available in the visitor center.

Campgrounds: There is no camping available at Soudan Underground Mine State Park, however, the park does manage Hinsdale Island, a remote, rustic campground on Lake Vermilion that is accessible by boat only. The campground is located in Kabetogama State Forest.

Contact Notes: Best time to contact the park:

October - April: Weekdays, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

May - September: Daily, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Naturalist Programs and Park Tours: Check the events calendar at the bottom of our main page for upcoming naturalist programs. Underground mine tours are expected to resume in the future. Please call the park for more information.
