Drinking Water: Available in visitor center.

Bathroom Facilities: Flush toilets available in the visitor center.

Campgrounds: There is no camping available at Soudan Underground Mine State Park, however, the park does manage Hinsdale Island, a remote, rustic campground on Lake Vermilion that is accessible by boat only. The campground is located in Kabetogama State Forest.

Contact Notes: Best time to contact the park:

October - April: Weekdays, 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.

May - September: Daily, 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Naturalist Programs and Park Tours: Check the events calendar at the bottom of our main page for upcoming naturalist programs. Underground mine tours will open Memorial Day weekend. Please call the park for more information.
