Seasonal Update

Water: Outside water is available April 26, 2013 through October 20, 2013, depending on weather.

Drinking Water: Drinking water is available year-round at the park office and the trail center.

Bathroom Facilities: Flush toilets are available beginning April 26, 2013 in the campground and in the picnic area on May 1st. Flush toilets are available year-round at the trail center. Vault toilets throughout the park are available year-round.

Showers: Shower buildings in the campground will open on April 26, 2013.

Dump Station: Dump station will be open April 26, 2013 through October 20, 2013.

Campgrounds: Camping is available year-round in the park. In winter, 20 sites, including electric sites, are available. Please call ahead to the park to make sure sites are accessible in winter.

Electric Sites: The park has 34 electric sites. Electric sites are available in winter.

Special Notes for RV Campers: The park has 55 typical graveled back-up sites. There are two non-electric pull through sites.

Reservations: Recommended especially for weekend camping and for electric sites. No reservations for camping are needed from November 1 - April 1.

Daily, 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Trail Notes: The park has 35 miles of hiking trails, 2.6 miles of surfaced bike trails, 2.6 miles of wheelchair accessible trails and 18 miles of horse trails. As of April 5, trails vary from ice and snow packed to partially clear, and are generally in sloppy spring condition. Appropriate footwear for these conditions is recommended. Horse trails are open May 1 until October 31. In winter, the park maintains 30 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails. No snowmobiles are allowed in the park. Wild River also has winter hiking and snowshoe trails. Warm up in the park's Trail Center.

Season Rentals: During the summer, the canoe rental concession runs from May 15 through October 1. Call 651-270-1561 for reservations or additional information. In winter, the ski and snowshoe rental concession rents snowshoes and day long cross-country ski packages for adults and kids. Call 651-257-0685 for rates and more information.
