Seasonal Update

Water: We anticipate turning off outside water sources on October 20, weather permitting.

Drinking Water: Drinking water is available year-round at the park office and the trail center.

Bathroom Facilities: Bathroom/shower buildings will close for the season October 20. Flush toilets are available year-round at the trail center. Vault toilets throughout the park are available year-round.

Showers: Shower buildings in the campground will close for the season on October 20.

Dump Station: The dump station will close for the season on October 20.

 

Campgrounds: Camping is available year-round in the park. In early spring, site choices may be limited until snow has melted from all loop roads. Please call ahead to the park if you want to know which sites are accessible in early spring.

Electric Sites: The park has 34 electric sites. There are no full hook ups, but the park has a dump station. Electric sites are available year-round.

Special Notes for RV Campers: The park has 55 typical graveled back-up sites. There are two non-electric pull through sites.

Reservations: Recommended especially for weekend camping and for electric sites. No reservations for camping are needed from November 1 - April 1.

Trail Notes: The park has 35 miles of hiking trails, 2.6 miles of surfaced bike trails, 2.6 miles of wheelchair accessible trails and 18 miles of horse trails. Horse trails are open for the season. Horseback riding is available May 1 until October 31. In winter, the park maintains 30 miles of groomed cross-country ski trails. No snowmobiles are allowed in the park. Wild River also has winter hiking and snowshoe trails. Warm up in the park's Trail Center.

Season Rentals: The canoe concession is closed for the season. During the summer months, periodic shuttles are available on the weekend. Reservations can be made and shuttles can be arranged by calling Eric's Canoe Rental at 651-270-1561. Ski and snowshoe rentals are available during the winter months when there is adequate snow cover.
