Minnesota's first walleye stamp will feature the art of Nick Reitzel of Karlstad. His painting was selected from 42 entries during the state's inaugural walleye stamp design contest held in October in St. Paul. The stamp will be available Feb. 15, and purchasing the $5 walleye stamp is voluntary. The DNR will use revenue from stamp sales for walleye stocking and activities directly related to the state's walleye fisheries.
