  • A 1:100,000 scale map showing static water level elevations of County Well Index (CWI) wells which draw water from Quaternary buried aquifers (MGS aquifer code = QBAA) was created in ARCPLOT and plotted on paper.

  • Hua Zhang interpolated contours from the static water level elevation values of these wells, and drew them on this plot. Related information such as, NWI wetlands data, the Stearns County Soil Survey, seismic sounding transect midpoint locations (See metadata for coverage, SSOPT), soil borings from Minnesota Dept. of Transportation soil boring logs (See metadata for coverage, DOTSB), and United Power Association (See metadata for coverage UPASB) was used to help find the best placement for the contours.
