Lineage

The data used to make this coverage was a combination of static water level information from the MGS ? CWI database and from direct measurements made by DNR personnel during the water sample collection portion of the project. Where both types of data existed for a well the DNR data was used. These data were hand contoured by Jim Berg and turned in to digital coverage using ArcView. The chemistry data was then added.

COMMENTS

"dashed" refers to contour segments where line is uncertain due to inadequate data. "solid" refers to a segment that is reliable based on adequate data.

 

AQUIFERS

Aquifer to which the potentiometric line pertains: "Opdc_Ostp" refers to the St. Peter - Praire du Chien aquifer; "Cjdn" refers to the Jordan aquifer; "Cstl - Cfrn+" refers to the St. Lawrence - Franconia aquifer. Includes data for Ironton - Galesville aquifer.
