Lineage

This is a polygon file of the overlay patterns of Plate 10 indicating the distribution of outwash or colluvium, alluvium, or thin till (5 to 50 feet thick). The lithology data are from the Wabasha CGA C14 Part A shapefile sgnt.shp (surficial geology polygons MGS Part A.The preceeding link is to a non-DNR site). Sgnt.shp was joined in a union operation with the Wabasha CGA C14 Part A shapefile dtnt.shp (depth to bedrock), which indicates drift thickness. Sensitivity values were assigned based on the type of sediment at the surface and the depth to bedrock. (The model assumes that the sediment type at the land surface is representative of the entire sediment thickness.)
