Lineage

Wells were selected from the County Well Index (CWI) database managed by the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Minnesota Geological Survey. Selected wells were sampled in the field by Jeanette Leete (DNR). The laboratory analysis of samples was contracted through the Hydrogeochemistry Laboratory in the Department of Geology and Geophysics at the University of Minnesota. The analysis results for the samples were provided to the DNR as electronic spreadsheets. The spreadsheet data were converted to ArcView shapefiles by Jim Berg and combined with additional chemistry data in shapefiles from the MDH. The data were transferred to the GIS specialist as an ArcView Shapefile.
