Public Waters Rules for Structures - Revision

At the direction of the 2008 MN Legislature, the DNR initiated a public process to draft revisions to the rules that regulate structures in public waters, which include most of Minnesota's lakes, rivers, and many wetlands. In August 2010 Governor Pawlenty returned the draft rules to the DNR without approval and recommended that the 2011 Legislature and the DNR work together in reconsideration of this matter.
