Naked miterwort (Mitella nuda)

Low-growing perennial of moist woods, common in bogs and cedar swamps. Leaves shallow-lobed and covered with short stiff hairs. Flowers, arranged on a single stalk, resemble greenish saucers. Petals are threadlike. Blooms May-June. Seed capsule resembles a bishop?s miter, or hat.
