Also called False Sunflower. Perennial to 4 feet tall. Smooth stems. Opposite, stalked, coarsely toothed, triangular leaves. Showy, 3 inch, yellow-rayed flower heads on individual stalks. Wet prairies, edges of thickets. Blooms June-August.
