Twinflower (Linnaea borealis var. longiflora)

Creeping prostrate stem with small round opposite evergreen leaves; common, especially in coniferous woods. Pink, fragrant, trumpet-like flowers paired on a thin stalk. Blooms June-July. Named after Linnaeus, the famous taxonomist, as it was his favorite flower.
