Virginia mountain mint (Pycnanthemum virginianum)

Compact cluster of small, white flowers. Four-angled stem typical of the Mint Family. Stem leafy, to 3 feet tall. Leaves opposite, narrow, pointed at tip and rounded at base, smaller near top of plant. Fragrant; minty odor when leaves are crushed. Blooms July-September. Found in range of prairie habitats, wet to dry.
