Gravel Pit 1748 WMA

Directions: 2.5 miles south of New Germany on Co. Rd. 33, on right or west side.

Description: Like its name implies, this management area is an old gravel pit covered by medium heigth grass and a few trees and shrubs.

Baylor Regional Park is just a few miles SE of the WMA. Tiger Lake is 3 miles south of the WMA and is a popular waterfowl lake.

This WMA provides habitat for upland species.

At this scale, these WMA boundaries are general, and do not accurately represent the actual legal boundaries. WMA users still need to verify public lands boundaries by observing boundary signs and contacting local DNR Wildlife offices.
