Description: This WMA is a complex comprised of marshy lake shore, wet meadow, shrub swamps and brushy upland areas. The Sakatah Singing Hills State Trail runs along the south side of the subunit.

The Cannon River Canoeing route runs through this unit. Good spring bird watching area. Watch for bald eagles, hooded mergansers, wood ducks, woodcock, trumpeter swans, black and Forester terns, ring-billed gulls, painted turtles and green herons.

This tract was donated by Lottie West, in cooperation with the Nature Conservancy, in memory of her husband so the special natural features of this area could be conserved. Camping is available at Sakatah Lake State Park west of Morristown on Hwy. 60.

At this scale, these WMA boundaries are general, and do not accurately represent the actual legal boundaries. WMA users still need to verify public lands boundaries by observing boundary signs and contacting local DNR Wildlife offices.
