Prosper WMA
County: Lake of the Woods Directions: From Williams, go 6 1/4 miles N on CSAH 2 Description: This WMA consists of two subunits. The eastern subunit of this WMA is 1100 acres of cedar, spruce, tamarack, brush and shoreline marsh. The western subunit consists of lowland forest types and upland aspen. Camping is available at nearby Zippel State Park. Small game hunting opportunities may include grouse, woodcock, snipe and rails, trapping opportunities exist for a variety of furbearers. Management includes burning and shearing of brush and marsh to improve deer, crane and sharptail habitat. |
