Henry O. Bjoring WMA

Area: 114 ac

Directions: Twelve miles northwest of Bemidji off County State Aid Highway 22 (Grange Road) to township road (Grant Creek Road).

Restrictions: There are private residences in close proximity to this WMA on Grant Creek Road and an adjoining active cattle farm on the south boundary.

Description: This WMA is mixed pine and aspen forest in a mixed forest and agricultural landscape. The Jack pine on this unit is mature to over-mature. There are also two areas of aspen regeneration on the WMA. This unit provides good deer habitat.

Deer, bear, and ruffed grouse hunting opportunities exist along with forest wildlife viewing opportunities.

The main purpose of this WMA is to protect and manage forest wildlife habitat.
