North Rapid River WMA

Nearest Town: Carp
Area: 78 ac

Directions: From Carp, go 0.5 miles north on County Highway 1 then 1 mile west on County Highway 16 then 2 miles west on township road then 2 miles west on County Road 146 then 3.25 miles south and west on Bankton Forest Road.

Description: This newly acquired WMA (2001) is 80 acres of mixed Jack Pine/Aspen forest along the North Branch of the Rapid River. Location is four miles west of the Pitt forest grade on the Bankton Forest Road.

Scenic spot along the river. There are currently no public user facilities on this unit. Grouse, deer, bear, forest birds and riparian wildlife may be found here.
