Officer Julie Siems/K9 Brady

handler and dog

Brady is a Golden Retriever mix from a pet rescue in Minnesota.  He and his handler, Conservation Officer Julie Siems, are trained to assist officers throughout the state with:

  • Tracking people
  • Detection of illegally taken wildlife and plants
  • Detection of invasive zebra mussels
  • Evidence recovery of firearms and casings
  • Perform valuable educational demonstrations and programs

The use of specially trained dogs increases the state's abilities to detect violations, find trespassers and catch poachers.  K9 teams are very popular with local school and community groups and often provide demonstrations.  K9 Brady lives with his handler/officer.  When K9 Brady is not working he enjoys playing hide and seek.  He fits right in at home however, when it is time to go to work his training takes over.
