Placing a geocache in state parks

Placing a geocache in Minnesota state parks.

Geocaching is an extremely popular activity in Minnesota state parks. Since 2008, well over 1,200 geocaches have been hidden in Minnesota state parks, recreation areas and waysides!

Apply for a geocaching permit if you want to hide a geocache for other people to find in a state park, recreation area, or wayside. It may take up to 30 days for your application to be processed.

Here's what you need to know if you want to hide a geocache in a Minnesota state forest

If you have any questions about the geocaching program, please call the DNR Information Center at 651-296-6157 or 888-MINNDNR (646-6367).
