Take the challenge! Pack up your kids, grab your gear, and get outdoors for the first ever DNR camp out challenge. In honor of National Get Outdoors Day (Saturday, June 8), DNR Commissioner Sarah Strommen is issuing a statewide challenge to all school-aged kids and their families.
Start summer break off right by spending the first weekend out of school under the stars with your friends and family. Hike the trails, splash in the water, and sit around a campfire making s’mores with your loved ones.
The Goal: Fill Every Campsite in Minnesota State Parks on June 8!
Admission to all 75 Minnesota state parks and recreation areas (regularly $7 for a one-day vehicle permit) will be free on Saturday, June 8.
While you're out there, snap a photo of your "School's Out - Camp Out" adventure and share it with us on social media using #SchoolsOutCampOut and #OnlyinMN.
