Lineage | This file was created from the sediment descriptions from an updated surfacial geology map from the Traverse-Grant regional hydrologic assessment, Part A. The coarsest sediments that consist mainly of and gravel are shown with the red color and are interpreted as very high sensitivity. These map units include bd, bsl, hc, hsl, lgo, lgc, ogs, ogo, ogc, and qc. The maps units containing sand, silt, and clay were shown in orange and interpreted as high sensitivity. These map units include bns, ha, ho, hns, lgd, olw, and ugd. In addition, Jim Berg interpreted selected areas that consist of a thin layer of fine-grained sediment over sand or sand and gravel as high sensitivity areas. These map units include hp, hs, lgp, and op. Finally, based on well logs and other mapping considerations Jim Berg included small areas of some other units in the high sensitivity category. |
