A Walk in the Park

Minnesota photographers share a few of their favorite state park images.

Every day in Minnesota state parks, untold scenes of natural wonder unfold, many seen by no people, others by a lucky few. Fortunately, talented photographers roaming these parks, lens in hand, have captured moments, places, and creatures in images that can artistically convey—and even heighten—these wonders for the rest of us. On the following pages, Minnesota Conservation Volunteer presents a select sample of photos that place viewers in front of parkland scenes they may have missed—until now. For the 2022 Sense of Place issue, spark your own sense of place in this visual tour of the landscapes, wildlife, and human dimensions of Minnesota state parks.
