2025 MN Fish Art Contest Winners!
For the past four years, MCV has hosted the Minnesota Fish Art Contest, which invites K-12 students from around the state to research and illustrate a fish of their choice to learn more about the underwater world, angling, and aquatic conservation. I love the way this competition marries art and science and am honored to run it with our partner Wildlife Forever, a conservation nonprofit based in White Bear Lake.
About 300 students submitted fish-themed artworks this year, and of those entries we chose four winners—one for each age category: K-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. A BIG thank you to the judges who helped choose the winning artists and to all the teachers, parents, and guardians who encouraged the students in their lives to enter the competition.
I’ll keep this column short so you can enjoy the winning artworks featured above. Look for information on the 2026 Minnesota Fish Art Competition in our upcoming September–October issue. Thanks, as always, for supporting MCV and have a great rest of your summer.
