We work diligently to reduce fraud risk and to identify and address potential instances of fraud. Every individual DNR employee is expected to share this commitment and act accordingly. In addition, we encourage members of the public, project partners and others to report any concerns or information regarding potentially fraudulent activities involving our work. What is fraud?
Fraud is intentional deception or misrepresentation to obtain something of value.
How to report suspected fraud
If you suspect fraud involving DNR programs, employees, or partner organizations in any way, you can report it by doing any of the following:

Contacting the Office of the Legislative Auditor by calling 651-201-2052 or completing their online allegation form.
Contacting the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension by calling 651-793-3750 or 1-888-372-8366 or completing their online allegation form.
What to expect after reporting suspected fraud or abuse
Every report of potential fraud to the DNR is carefully reviewed and appropriate follow-up is determined.

Please know that investigatory information is non-public pursuant to Minnesota Statute § 13.46, subd. 3, and the DNR is unable to provide updates regarding any particular investigation or complaint.
