Fish House Memories

Fifteen years ago, professional photographer Mitch Kezar took a holiday ice fishing trip on Lake of the Woods with his brothers, his young nephews, and two Jack Russell terriers. They made the trek—10 miles out onto the frozen lake—to an ice house, where they spent several days fishing for walleye and deepening family bonds. Kezar captured the experience in the photos collected here, which depict not only a quintessential Minnesota winter getaway, but also warm memories with his family, including those nephews, who are now all grown up.
